Genna Leung graduated with a Master's in Applied Theatre and Drama in Education at Griffith University in Australia. She is finishing her Master's in Directing of Devising and Object Theatre at The Academy of  Directing of Performing Arts in Prague, Theatre

Faculty , Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. (AMU-DAMU) in 2025.

Genna founded Little Smudges Theatre in 2013; her vision is to produce work that opens room for reflection, creativity, and meaningful theater experience for young audiences. Especially on exploring global citizenship issues, and provide a platform of critical thinking, self-reflection in performances and education programmes. Productions of Little Smudges Theatre covers topics of wars and conflicts, climate change, Hong Kong’s diversity of animals, ecology, and different social perspectives. 

Genna has produced and directed over 37 productions in different scales and formats since 2013, including community tours, site-specific performances, school tours, theatre productions, online performances, and video performances. Little Smudges Theatre's audience was around 2000 pax a year. The theatre has participated in the Hong Kong International Art Carnival, Hong Kong School Culture Day Scheme, and Community Cultural Ambassador to promote cultural and theatre activities.

 

Genna also collaborates with INGO and local organizations to devise customized performances for a variety of issues or locations, such as a site-specific performance in a museum for Asia Society ,  Performances and education programmes for Oxfam, World Wide Fund , or oral history theatre of local fish villages in Hong Kong. ​

小不點創作藝術總監。 布拉格演藝學院(Akademie múzických umění v Praze)戲劇學院,另類劇場及木偶系 ,物件及構作劇場導演碩士。澳洲格理菲斯大學(Griffith University)應用劇場與戲劇教育碩士。 於香港理工大學修畢社會工作系文憑及修畢香港中文大學價值教育證書。 一人一故事劇團《言遇劇團》成員。 梁主要關心價值教育相關的戲劇教育工作。期望製作演出及親子教育活動,引發教育反思,發掘兒童的創意空間,讓兒童經歷不一樣的劇場體驗。劇團的特色除了原創兒童劇外,更揉合繪本的故事以劇場及偶劇劇場手法帶出世界公民教育與生命教育的價值觀。

曾任香港戲劇教育論壇(TEFO)經理,推動及策劃多項大型藝術教育工作,處理行政及計劃工作。戲劇教育書籍《戲中探貧窮-以戲劇手法進行世界公民教育》聯合作者。梁同時積極參與一人一故事劇場表演及培訓,為公私營機構演出,如香港當代文化中心MaD結幕典禮演出,Community Business 《Diversity & Inclusion in Asia Conference》,並隨劇團到新加坡、台灣及日本作交流及演出等。 參與進劇場演員運動2015(The Wing)展演《三姊妹》及遠赴維也納參加IUGTE 形體劇場訓練。

2013年成立小不點創作,專注兒童劇場創作,編導多個兒童劇作品。梁自2014年起開於為劇團製作演出戲偶及佈景,編導十多個偶劇作品(詳見過住演出簡介)。並於海外參加不同戲偶製作課程,學習製作半身偶,面具、物件偶、執頭偶等課程。多次受邀到海外參加戲偶及青少年戲劇節,如台灣《親密小戲節》、丹麥”Festival of Wonder” 戲偶節,及獲邀出席意大利2019 SEGNAIL 青少年戲偶劇場節等。

​小不點創作 簡介

小不點創作,成立於2013年,由戲劇教育碩士課程畢業的梁念行(Genna)創辦。喜歡兒童創作、偶戲,相信兒童能看見世界比成人更清澈。劇團希望透過偶劇場,發掘兒童的對世界的想像,探索世界公民教育與生命教育的價值觀。讓兒童經歷不一樣的劇場體驗。

 

本團為對象1-3歲、3-6歲、6-12歲、12-18歲兒童及青少年,按不同年齡層的創作兒童劇。

 

本團多次應政府部門、社會團體及學校邀請,創作有教育意義的藝術教育劇場。曾為香港民政事務署、康樂文化事務署、中西區區議會、樂施會、嘉道理農場、長春社、世界自然基金會、香港亞洲協會、昂坪360 、香港青年協會、安徒生會、香港拿打素醫院、西九文化區自由野、綠腳丫、小童群益會等策劃及推行戲劇教育計劃及應用劇場項目。自2014年起多次公開及巡迴演出,創作超過23套作品。演出觀眾接觸人數每年多達4000人。
